Celebrating 15 Years As An Accredited Art Appraiser!

I am proud to announce I have completed my 3rd requalification with the International Society of Appraisers!

I still can’t believe that 15 years ago, I started my Appraisal business. I have been Accredited by the International Society of Appraisers and appraising art collections for private collectors, museums, and corporations. As part of industry standards, we as appraisers need to requalify with the ISA every 5 years for our continuing membership. Part of this process includes submitting a federal tax appraisal to be reviewed and taking the required ISA Requalification course to refresh and keep current as appraisers report writing standards and changes since the last requalification. This is my 3rd requalification!

There have been a lot of changes since my last requalification 5 years ago, and now it is time to get busy making sure my reports are up to date on USPAP and ISA requirements and best practices. There is an excellent reason professional organizations require their members to requalify and keep up with continuing education requirements.

Part of the requalification is submitting proof of our CE units and our documented appraisal hours. Maintaining accreditation in the International Society of Appraisers is not the easiest thing. Still, it does make me very proud of my accomplishments and being a part of a specialized community of trained and tested personal property appraisers.
